Self help book recs 🥰📚📖
The past few months, I have struggled a lot with not only my sense of self, but with my purpose and path. In high school, I was a straight A student, but didn't know what I wanted to do as a career. This led to me spending 6 years in college, with no degree to show for it because I kept switching majors. On top of that, my confidence in myself academically dramatically nose dived. I moved home and into my parents house, where for the last 5 months, I've been working as a receptionist and feeling stuck. I've turned to my one vice in life, reading, and have read TONS of self-help books. Here are the 2 that I felt ACTUALLY helped!
Master of One really helped me think about my life and my interests. This really helped me realize what viable career paths I have based on not only what I'm good at, but what career would be fulfilling for me. This book does talk heavily of God, so if you either are not interested in religion or have religious trauma, this may not be the book for you.
When really breaks down the scientific reasoning behind timing and how to "hack" this. It really helped me by taking out the fear of uncertainty and making the wrong decisions.
