(Realistic!) 2026 Goals
I always seem to fail my New Year's resolutions that I set for myself within the first few weeks of January, so this year, I am focusing on realistic goals that I can achieve!
1. Aim for 75% of my snacks and meals to be whole foods. As a big back girlie, I really love my junk food lol. Rather than cut out everything I love to eat in order to be 'healthier', I am setting a realistic goal to make my snacks and meals mostly from whole foods. An example meal would be steamed broccoli, a baked chicken breast, a side salad and a small slice of cake or scoop of ice cream for dessert!
2. Aim for walking at least once per day. It doesn't matter if I walk for 10 minutes or 120 minutes! Just getting up and moving my body will help with my premature joint pain that I've been developing recently!
3. Aim to finish one book every 3 months. I used to be such an avid reader a few years ago. I was one of those people who could read 4 or 5 books per month! In recent years, I've really been slacking and instead replaced reading with doomscrolling. In order to not feel overwhelmed, I decided to give myself a relaxed goal of finishing one book every 3 months at a minimum. If I finish a book sooner than that, great!
4. Aim to drink at least one cup of hot tea per day. I've always been a huge tea drinker since I was a little girl, so this goal shouldn't be too hard for me! I'm almost two years post op from my gallbladder removal surgery (I still can't believe my gallbladder just up and died on me at the age of 24!!) and I've noticed that a cup of tea (green specifically!) really just helps my digestive system out, and boy, does it need all the help it can get!
These are my 2026 goals, what are yours?
