Last Years Spooky Season Pics
I am so excited for Fall and spooky season! Y’all have no idea!! Here’s some pics from last year :) I can’t wait to get pumpkins, decorate for Halloween, and cuddle up under a cozy blanket with a good book and the chill outside!
The autumn Halloween aesthetic is truly my absolute favorite, and I love looking back at old photos to get inspired for the new season! For me, it's all about blending the cozy warmth of fall with just the right amount of spooky charm. It’s what makes this time of year so magical. When I think about creating that perfect vibe, it starts with the colors and textures. Those vibrant autumn colors we see on the trees – the deep oranges, rustic reds, and golden yellows – are the perfect foundation. Inside, I love incorporating soft blankets, plush pillows, and chunky knits to create a super cozy atmosphere. Then, you layer in the Halloween elements. Last year, I totally fell in love with how classic decorations like pumpkins, skulls, and even friendly ghost figures can transform a space. And speaking of pumpkins, carving glowing jack-o'-lanterns is an absolute must! There’s something so nostalgic and comforting about their warm, flickering light on a crisp evening. Outdoor decor is where you can really make a statement. Beyond the carved pumpkins, I loved experimenting with different lighting. Those pink string lights we used added such a whimsical and unexpected touch to our porch setup, making it feel fun and inviting rather than overly scary. It just goes to show you don't always have to stick to traditional orange and black! I also adore seeing how my neighbors decorate, with houses lit up at dusk and trees displaying their stunning autumn colors – it really creates a community-wide spooky season aesthetic. Inside, I focus on creating a sanctuary where I can truly relax. This means lots of candles (pumpkin spice, of course!), soft fairy lights, and subtle spooky touches. I’ve been eyeing some throws with skeleton designs that would be perfect for draping over a couch. Even our pets can join in the cozy fun! I love seeing a black dog curled up on a festive rug, adding to the homey, autumnal feel. It's about finding those little details that bring joy and a sense of seasonal magic. My biggest tip for anyone trying to capture this aesthetic is to start with what you already love about fall and then slowly infuse Halloween. Don't feel pressured to buy everything new. Sometimes, just adding a few mini pumpkins, a vase of dried leaves, and one or two well-placed spooky figurines can make all the difference. It’s about creating an atmosphere that makes you feel excited for the season, whether you’re cuddling up under a blanket with a good book or enjoying a pumpkin carving night with friends. The autumn Halloween aesthetic is all about embracing the beauty of the season with a playful, spooky twist!
