A bunch of Mint 🌿

Straight out of my garden 🪏. I just cut it and going to let it air dry for 2 or 3 days depending how much sun it gets. Leaving it this long also gets those pesky critters out of the bunch. After it’s completely dried, I will seal it in jar and use when I need to make tea. #whatsinyourgarden #herbs #mint #fyp

Start by harvesting the mint leaves early in the morning when the oils are most potent. Cut the stems and remove any damaged leaves. To air dry the mint, bundle several stems together and hang them upside down in a cool, dark place with good air circulation. This method helps maintain the mint's vibrant color and essential oils, ensuring a richer flavor once dried. It typically takes 2 to 3 days for the mint to dry completely, depending on humidity and temperature. Once dried, the leaves should be crisp and crumble easily when handled. Store the dried mint in an airtight container, away from direct sunlight, to preserve its flavor. Dried mint can be used in various recipes, including teas, salads, and marinades. Additionally, incorporating mint into your dishes not only adds flavor but also provides health benefits such as aiding digestion and reducing inflammation. Enjoy your garden's bounty and elevate your culinary creations with homemade dried mint!
