due to being in multiple car wrecks as a small child, i have an extreme form of PTSD and OCD that causes me to be very afraid of being in the car, and i'm constantly certain i'm going to be in a wreck.
my ESSAs (emotional support stuffed animals) help tremendously in the car. while they don't totally cure me, i can use them to distract myself or calm myself if i start panicking.
i always have one of my dogs with me in the car, even if we're only going to be in there for a minute to go pick something up!
