Reaching 152% of my reading goal by completing 38 books in 2025 was a truly rewarding experience. Last year, I had set a goal of reading 25 books, which was already an increase from the 13 books I read the previous year. Surpassing that by such a margin surprised and motivated me to keep pushing my limits. A majority of my reads fell under the Romance genre, which I found particularly engaging and enjoyable. Authors like Sarah I. Maas, Amy Lea, Alka Joshi, and Emily Henry featured prominently in my reading list, each offering unique stories that kept me hooked. The average rating I gave my books was around 3.9, reflecting a good balance between beloved favorites and exciting new discoveries. Another aspect that helped me maintain this streak was using platforms like My Fable and Goodreads to track my progress and share reviews. For 2026, I’ve set a more modest goal of 20 books to accommodate other new projects I am embarking on. Although reading might take a backseat sometimes, it remains my favorite pastime, and I plan to make the most of it whenever I can.
