I find that the key to achieving well-defined curls is to maintain consistent tension as I brush sections of my hair away from my face. This careful tension helps the curls form their natural shape without frizz or uneven texture. One tip I'd add is to make sure your hair is thoroughly wet and saturated with a good leave-in conditioner before starting. This creates the smooth foundation needed for the brush to glide through and shape curls without pulling or breakage. I like to lean my head forward and let all my hair fall in front of my face, which allows me to section off and focus on smaller areas for better curl formation. After brushing each section with the Denman D3, I apply a scrunch of gel to lock the curls in place. This combination of brushing with tension and gel scrunching seals the style and keeps my curls defined and bouncy throughout the day. It's worth noting that the Denman D3 brush features 7 rows of closely spaced pins, which excel at detangling and defining without causing excessive hair breakage. This brush is versatile enough to be used on both curly and straight textures, but its real power shines with curly hair. If you struggle with frizz or undefined curls, trying this tension and brushing method with the Denman D3 could really transform your routine. It’s not just about a tool, but how you use it: careful sectioning, brushing away from the face, and maintaining tension throughout drives the best results. Overall, this styling brush has been a reliable part of my haircare regimen for years, helping me achieve smooth, well-defined curls with minimal effort. It’s a simple, effective tool that can make a big difference in curly hair styling and maintenance.
