Some will say and have asked, why you wanted to lose so much-where were you overweight-how much more-you were good before-and the list goes on. Prior to 2020 I was at the weight I like & it was pre-menopause.
When you are used to maintaining a certain weight or healthy weight most of your life….35-40lbs over doesn’t feel or look right to “YOU” PERSONALLY and a Dr’s trip Dec 2023 revealed heart disease risk and I was pre-diabetic, right at going into being diabetic. BOTTOM LINE from the Dr……lose weight & those numbers will go down. Looking at me, you couldn’t see that diagnosis. So I woke up the OLD ME 👊🏽💥🙌🏾👏🏽. My BIGGEST cheerleader is ME 😉
Menopause hit like a ton of bricks leading up to the 51st bday. I am 54. CONSISTENCY is KEY to it ALL!
Body transformation, especially during the menopause years, presents unique challenges that many women face globally. Menopause, typically occurring between ages 45 to 55, brings complex hormonal changes that often lead to weight gain, decreased metabolism, and fluctuations in mood and energy. Understanding these physiological shifts is essential for developing effective strategies to manage weight and maintain overall well-being. Consistent habits in nutrition, exercise, and mental health care are critical. A balanced diet focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods supports metabolic health and hormone balance, while regular physical activity—combining cardiovascular, strength training, and flexibility exercises—helps counteract muscle loss and boosts metabolism. Equally important is the mental approach: self-encouragement and a positive mindset become fundamental in sustaining commitment through the inevitable ups and downs. Moreover, the timeline of transformation highlighted in the content, spanning from pre-menopause through the mid-50s, underscores the importance of patience and long-term consistency. Lifestyle adjustments embraced as part of a journey, rather than short-term fixes, lead to sustainable success. Incorporating key concepts from 2023 and planning ahead to 2025, as suggested by the OCR content, aligns well with setting realistic, progressive goals that honor both current health status and future aspirations. For individuals undergoing similar experiences, this story emphasizes that personal motivation is the most powerful tool. Acting as one's own biggest cheerleader fosters resilience, encourages perseverance, and ultimately transforms challenges into empowering milestones. This approach not only aids in physical transformation but deeply supports emotional and mental well-being, reflecting a holistic view of health that modern wellness frameworks advocate.
