going to the movies alone

Something I started doing last year when the Barbie movie came out was going to the theater alone.

At first it felt scary and a little silly but now I go pretty often. I even got one of the movie passes for Cinemark!

Sitting with yourself and not worrying about turning to someone to talk about something and just being present and experiencing a movie is such a thrilling feeling and I get to just feel so free!!

I think everyone should do it once in their life to at least have the experience.

Also I went to see Challengers and yes it was everything and more I can’t stop thinking about it.

... Read moreStepping into a movie theater alone might sound a little intimidating at first, but trust me, it's one of the most wonderfully freeing experiences you can gift yourself! Especially when you choose a great spot like Levis Commons for your solo escape. I've been doing this more often since the Barbie movie, and now I’m hooked on the peace and quiet of a solo movie date. For anyone searching for 'Levis Commons movie theater' or 'Levis Commons movies' with a hint of adventure, let me tell you why it’s perfect for a solo venture. The Cinemark at Levis Commons (which is where I often use my movie pass!) offers a fantastic environment. It's usually clean, comfortable, and the seats are great for settling in. There’s something special about walking in, grabbing your favorite concessions – a big bucket of popcorn and a drink are a must for me – and finding that perfect seat without negotiating with anyone. Sometimes the theater is mostly empty, which just adds to that feeling of having the whole experience to yourself. To really 'romanticize my life' on a solo movie date, I like to make an afternoon of it. Before the show, I might browse some of the unique shops around Levis Commons, grab a coffee, or just enjoy the atmosphere. It’s all about setting the mood for a relaxed, self-indulgent outing. Then, once I'm inside the movie theater, it's just me and the screen. No need to worry about turning to someone to comment or whisper. You're just present, absorbing every moment of the film. I recently saw 'Challengers' this way, and it was everything I hoped for and more – being able to fully focus made the experience even better. After the movie, instead of rushing off, I often take a moment to just sit with my thoughts, maybe even journal a bit about the film or my feelings. It’s a wonderful way to process the story and truly take in the whole experience. If you’re looking for 'Levis Commons movies' for a solo outing, I highly recommend checking their showtimes online, maybe even booking your ticket in advance (especially for popular new releases). Go ahead, give yourself the gift of a solo movie date at Levis Commons. You might just find it becomes your new favorite self-care ritual!
