Reverse Candle Haul - August

I have a really bad habit of only burning a candle 🕯 a few times and then moving on to the next one or never finishing them 😆 so for August, I decided to start operation, Let it burn 🔥

💻Working from home does give me an advantage to go through them pretty fast but now I can finally start burning my new fall candles since I made a pretty big dent in finishing 11 3-wick and 8 single wick candles for a total of 19 candles!

Do you have a similar problem or a project use it up for anything? #bathandbodyworks #projectuseitup #empties #letschat

Operation Let It Burn is all about creating mindful habits to finish up your current candle collection before adding new ones. This can be especially rewarding as seasons change—like now, with the cozy fall candle lineup ready to ignite. Burning multiple candles consistently not only helps you declutter but fully experience the signature scents, from cribbed Sugared Pink Apple to playful Farmhouse Punch or refreshing Lemonade. To track progress, many candle lovers join communities like #projectuseitup or #empties on social media where sharing your burn haul helps motivate others and celebrate small wins. Working from home definitely offers flexibility to enjoy candles during the day, making it easier to burn through wicks faster. Try setting aside dedicated candle time to focus solely on enjoying each fragrance instead of multitasking—it enhances the sensory experience and keeps you engaged. Plus, it honors the craftsmanship behind each candle brand. If you still find it hard to finish candles, consider repurposing leftover wax in containers as wax melts or mixing scents to create custom blends. This way, every bit counts and you avoid leftover waste. Embracing a burn-first attitude also encourages more thoughtful purchases going forward, so you’re less tempted to hoard. Ultimately, Operation Let It Burn is a fun, guilt-free challenge that transforms your candle routine into an intentional and rewarding ritual—perfect for this cozy autumn season. Share your progress or ask for candle care tips in hashtags like #bathandbodyworks and #letschat to connect with fellow fragrance enthusiasts!
