So much going on in our world. So much hatred and division. Praying for Charlie’s family. My Heart is so broken at what just happened and been happening, but not without hope, because my hope is in Jesus alone. I have a questions… a lot… but in the end I trust the one who is in control and love unconditionally, when I find myself trying to control and not loving as Christ loved. Even if things don’t get “better” this side of heaven I will continue to trust in the immovable God.

Proverbs 3:5,6” Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. I Wrote this song called “Better” a couple years back and it definitely describes how I’m feeling. Sometimes I just have to sing how I feel.

... Read moreIn times of widespread turmoil and emotional pain, many find themselves searching for stability and hope. Reflecting on Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to place our full trust in the Lord, even when the world feels unpredictable and overwhelming. This scripture encourages believers to lean not on their own understanding but to acknowledge God in every aspect of life, promising He will guide and direct the path ahead. The emotions of heartbreak and confusion are natural reactions to events that shake us deeply. However, turning to faith offers comfort and reassurance that there is a higher plan beyond our immediate grasp. The song "Better," written by contemporary Christian artist Jeremy Camp, resonates with this message by conveying feelings of struggle paired with a steadfast hope in God’s immovable nature. Living out this trust means embracing unconditional love, just as Christ demonstrated, even when faced with uncertainty or injustice. It challenges us to move beyond wanting to control every outcome, and instead, to surrender to a love that sustains us through hardships. This perspective is powerful in fostering resilience and peace amid division and hatred in the world. Sharing such reflections in community can reinforce our collective faith and inspire others who may be experiencing similar trials. Engaging with uplifting music and scripture deepens one’s spiritual journey and opens the heart to healing and renewed purpose. Ultimately, the belief that things will be made better, whether here or in the promise of heaven, instills a profound sense of hope anchored in divine love and care.
