here are more money saving tips!
1. wedding car??? + deco???
actually maybe because our parents discouraged us to drive our own wedding car because ‘darah manis’ - is a Malay saying used to describe someone who is engaged or about to get married. People believe that during this period, the person tends to attract attention, good and bad, and may experience small mishaps or emotional ups and downs. It’s considered a sensitive or vulnerable time… thus our parents said NO! ❌
so alternatively 😍
we went to rent a van w a driver hahaha you know why? because we also had to get a ride that was big enough for our photographers and videographers to join us along to our post photoshoot! so yea please check whether ur photographers and videographers have their own transport, if not it might be additional $!
we only paid $150 for the driver to drive us to two points. our hotel > post photoshoot area, post photoshoot area > hotel.
it felt so stress free and we managed to put a trolley inside with other things.
2. bringing bridesmaids/groomsmen to post photoshoot…. ❌
for us, i mean i only had one bridesmaid experience and i was exhausted esp the after wedding segment…. sooooo… i decided i’d get them to take post weddings photos at my own hotel venue. so that they don’t have to follow us so far, and then be exhausted. i wanted them to end on a good positive note 🙏🏻 + that means they still had half the day left to go out and enjoy!
3. getting my hantaran from malaysia instead ~
most of the gifts i requested from my husband were from malaysia 🧏🏻♀️ especially the jewellery, yes it’s not gold but i love it so much, especially because it also doesn’t tarnish. it’s 925 sterling silver with rhodium (platinum)! from this amazing brand called Julia S Jewellery who has pop ups around KL area.
not only were they more affordable, i felt that these designs were unique! and more me!! 😆 i’m sure others will say they don’t have value due to it not being gold… but the fact of it all, it’s something i’ll definitely wear and cherish!!!
4. doing a custom illustration & diy-ing my own wedding card!
why i didn’t wanna custom a wedding card because i wanted to use the illustration for anything ~ so i just diy-ed the wedding card components. made it a white background so if anything we could always just remove the background and it’d be transparent!! i thought it was quite cost efficient and i could do so much more w our illustration.
got ours from @/creamsupps on ig! $150 but i love the illustration so much, i use it everywhereeeee. maybe if you wanna save cost even more instead of wedding attire, it could be your casual fit! so you can make custom profile pics etc ~

Although not gold, these items are durable, tarnish-resistant, and uniquely beautiful — and more meaningful because I truly love wearing them every day. Lastly, I embraced creativity by commissioning a custom illustration to use across my wedding materials instead of investing heavily in custom wedding cards alone. This artwork was versatile enough to use for DIY cards, profile pictures, and more. By opting for a simple white background, the illustration could be adapted for various uses, saving me from costly and single-use invitations. Overall, by prioritizing what truly matters and seeking alternative options, you can have a memorable wedding celebration that feels special without stretching your finances. dont waste your money for unnecessarily deco and all the wastage things..Just do what's is required in the religion and spend wisely cos you be needing lots of expenses after the wedding.. seriously 🤩🤩🤩 anyway congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 on yiur big day and wish it lasts till Jannah ❤️❤️❤️
