หลายคนถามเราเยอะว่า “Application Specialist คืออะไร” แล้วต่างจากพยาบาล/ผู้ช่วยผ่าตัดยังไง ขอสรุปแบบเข้าใจง่ายจากมุมคนทำงานจริงนะคะ งานนี้คือคนที่ “ซัพพอร์ตการใช้เครื่องมือทางการแพทย์เฉพาะทาง” ให้ทีมแพทย์ในห้องผ่าตัด เพื่อให้ใช้งานได้ถูกขั้นตอน ปลอดภัย และได้ผลลัพธ์ดีที่สุด สิ่งที่คนมักเข้าใจผิดคือเราไม่ได้เป็นคนผ่าตัดแทนแพทย์ และไม่ใช่ช่างซ่อมเต็มตัว แต่ต้องรู้ทั้ง clinical workflow และเทคโนโลยีของเครื่องแพทย์ เวลามีปัญหาเราต้องวิเคราะห์ให้ไวว่าเป็นที่ setting, อุปกรณ์ต่อพ่วง, consumable, หรือระบบเครื่อง แล้วแก้เฉพาะหน้า/ประสานทีมเทคนิคต่อทันที “หน้าห้องผ่าตัดโรงพยาบาล” คือพื้นที่ที่เรายืนบ่อยมากค่ะ ก่อนเข้าเคสเราจะเช็ก checklist แทบทุกครั้ง เช่น สาย/หัวต่อครบไหม อุปกรณ์ปลอดเชื้อพร้อมหรือยัง แบต/ไฟ/จอภาพขึ้นปกติไหม และลอง run ระบบสั้นๆ เพื่อกันพลาด โดยเฉพาะเคสที่ใช้ C-Arm, Endoscope, Navigation หรือระบบกล้องที่ต้องภาพชัดและ latency ต่ำ อีกคำที่เจอบ่อยคือ “CIR คือ ทางการแพทย์อะไร” โดยทั่วไปในโรงพยาบาลมักใช้เรียกทีม/หน่วยที่เกี่ยวกับรังสีร่วมรักษาหรือหัตถการที่ใช้ภาพนำทาง (คำย่ออาจต่างกันตามที่ทำงาน) ถ้าเราทำสายเครื่องแพทย์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับภาพ (imaging) หรือหัตถการ ก็มีโอกาสต้องประสานกับทีมแนวนี้บ่อยค่ะ แนะนำให้ถามคำเรียกที่ถูกของหน่วยงานในโรงพยาบาลนั้นๆ เพื่อสื่อสารไม่คลาดเคลื่อน ทักษะที่คิดว่าจำเป็นมากสำหรับ Application Specialist: - สื่อสารสั้น ชัด ในเวลาจำกัด (ในห้องผ่าตัดไม่มีเวลาคุยนาน) - ใจเย็นและแก้ปัญหาเป็นลำดับ (แยกว่าอะไรต้องทำทันที vs ทำหลังเคส) - อ่าน manual/IFU และเข้าใจเรื่องความปลอดภัย การติดตั้ง การต่ออุปกรณ์ - ทำงานกับคนหลากหลายมาก ทั้งแพทย์ พยาบาล ห้องเครื่อง บริษัท และซัพพลายเออร์ เรื่องไลฟ์สไตล์ก็สำคัญนะคะ หลายตำแหน่งต้องเดินทางไปหลายโรงพยาบาล บางวันออกเช้ามาก กลับดึก หรือค้างโรงแรมได้เลย ใครชอบเจอเคสใหม่ๆ ชอบเทคโนโลยี และชอบความท้าทาย งานนี้สนุกมาก แต่ถ้าเน้นเวลางานตายตัว อาจต้องชั่งใจก่อน ถ้ากำลังสนใจเข้ามาสายนี้ แนะนำให้เริ่มจากดูว่าตัวเองถนัดเครื่องแพทย์กลุ่มไหน (เช่น endoscopy, imaging, monitoring เช่น Mindray, navigation ฯลฯ) แล้วฝึก “การอธิบายขั้นตอนใช้งานให้คนอื่นทำตามได้” เพราะหน้างานจริง เราต้องสอนและซัพพอร์ตให้ทีมใช้ได้ทันทีค่ะ
