เมื่อพูดถึงการกัดสีผมเอง หลายคนคงคิดว่าง่ายเหมือนดูคลิปสอน ก็ทำตามได้ไม่ยาก แต่จากประสบการณ์ตรงที่ผมเคยกัดสีผมเองมา จะขอแชร์ข้อควรระวังและสิ่งที่ควรรู้ก่อนลงมือทำจริงๆ ที่สำคัญมากที่สุดคือ "พื้นสีผม" หรือสีผมเดิมที่เรามีอยู่ก่อนการกัด เพราะถ้าพื้นสีผมไม่สม่ำเสมอ เช่น ผมที่เคยย้อมน้ำเงินแล้วเริ่มเฟด ผมจะเกิดจุดด่างๆ ไม่เท่ากัน ซึ่งเป็นอุปสรรคสำคัญที่ทำให้สีผมใหม่ที่ลงทับออกมาไม่สวย ไม่เท่ากันเหมือนในเรฟที่ต้องการ อีกหนึ่งปัจจัยที่ผมเจอคือการทาผลิตภัณฑ์กัดสีผม (bleach) ให้ทั่วถึงและตั้งเวลาให้เหมาะสมกับแต่ละบริเวณของศีรษะ เพราะผมแต่ละส่วนมีความหนาและพื้นสีเดิมที่แตกต่างกัน จึงต้องใช้เวลาและปริมาณผลิตภัณฑ์ไม่เท่ากัน ถ้าทำไม่ถูกวิธีสีอาจจะออกมาเข้มบ้าง สว่างบ้างจนผมดูด่างไม่สวย ตอนแรกผมก็พยายามทำเองเพราะคิดว่าประหยัดและสะดวก แต่ต้องบอกเลยว่าการกัดสีผมเป็นงานที่ละเอียดอ่อนและต้องใช้ความชำนาญสูง ถ้าไม่มั่นใจแนะนำให้ปรึกษาหรือให้ช่างมืออาชีพช่วยจะดีกว่า เพราะนอกจากจะได้สีที่สวยสม่ำเสมอแล้ว ยังช่วยประหยัดเวลาและเงินที่อาจต้องเสียไปกับการแก้ไขในภายหลังด้วย สุดท้ายนี้ นอกจากการเตรียมผมและความรู้เรื่องเทคนิคการกัดสีแล้ว ต้องเตรียมใจให้พร้อมกับความเสี่ยงที่จะเกิดข้อผิดพลาดได้ หากใครอยากลองทำเองควรศึกษาข้อมูลและเทคนิคอย่างละเอียด หรือเริ่มจากการทดลองกัดสีผมในปริมาณน้อยก่อน เพื่อให้เห็นผลลัพธ์และความเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างแท้จริง หวังว่าประสบการณ์และคำแนะนำนี้จะช่วยให้ทุกคนตัดสินใจและทำสีผมได้สวยตรงใจมากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะการหลีกเลี่ยงปัญหาพื้นสีไม่เท่ากันที่เป็นเรื่องสำคัญมากจริงๆ
