I heard a lot of people were going crazy over @houseofcosmo New Eden at ScentXplore. I grabbed a travel size to test. This is a really nice blend of notes with good performance. Oakmoss can be overwhelming to me, but it’s smooth here. The grapefruit is noticeable adds a nice touch of citrus. The longer this sits on my skin, the more I like it. Im going to keep wearing this to see if I need a full bottle.Did anyone smell this at ScentXplore?
... Read moreSo, after my first impressions of House of Cosmo New Eden, I've had more time to really live with this fragrance. You know how sometimes a scent truly evolves on your skin? This one absolutely does! What started as a bright, almost airy citrus burst with the grapefruit and ozone notes, quickly settles into something much more complex and intriguing. I initially tried the convenient rollerball bottle, which is perfect for trying out new scents without committing to a full size – a tip I always recommend for unique fragrances like this one.
The blend of nectarine and bergamot adds a lovely juiciness in the opening, making it feel incredibly refreshing. But for me, the magic really happens in the heart and base. Lily of the Valley gives it a delicate floral whisper, beautifully balanced by the modern touch of Iso E Super, which I think contributes to its impressive projection without being overpowering. And that smooth oakmoss? It’s truly a standout here. Often, oakmoss can be quite heavy or earthy, but in New Eden, it's refined, almost velvety, complementing the creamy vanilla, warm sandalwood, and subtle musk and ambroxan beautifully. It gives the fragrance a sophisticated, grounding finish that lasts for hours.
I've found its longevity to be excellent, easily getting 6-8 hours on my skin, and even longer on clothes. The sillage is moderate, creating a lovely scent bubble around you without filling a room – perfect for both office wear and special occasions. I've worn it to work, out for dinner, and even just casually, and it always feels appropriate. It's truly versatile. If you're looking for a signature scent that's fresh but also has depth and character, this could be it.
This fragrance feels elegant yet approachable. It's for someone who appreciates a modern chypre with a luminous, slightly fruity twist. It has a certain 'put-together' vibe but isn't stuffy. The image of holding that sleek black box and clear rollerball bottle, perhaps against a festive background like a twinkling Christmas tree (as I saw in some imagery), really captures its sophisticated yet inviting essence. It feels like a scent that transitions beautifully from day to night, and I'd say it's suitable for all seasons, though its fresh opening makes it particularly appealing in spring and summer.
Given its unique blend and impressive performance, I'm definitely leaning towards getting a full bottle. If you got a chance to smell this at ScentXplore or are curious about a fragrance that balances freshness with a rich, long-lasting base, I highly recommend seeking out a sample or rollerball like I did. It’s been a really pleasant discovery, and I can see why it's getting so much buzz!
The base notes are calling my name! I gotta smell this! ❤️
