I’ve been in prayer, asking God for confirmation, and I think I was expecting something a lot bigger than what He actually gives when He’s leading you.

I kept wondering why I wasn’t getting a clear answer. Like, why does it feel quiet when I’m asking so directly?

But through prayer, and honestly just spending time in Scripture, I was reminded of something that I’ve known.

God doesn’t give you enough light for the whole journey. He gives you enough light for the next step.

And even though I understood that in my head, I had to really sit with myself and realize… the words I was praying didn’t actually match my heart. I was saying I trusted Him, but deep down I was still wanting full control and the path laid out in a way that would allow me to take that next step.

And that’s when it clicked.

I had to peel back another layer of surrender. I had to let go of needing to see everything ahead and just trust Him with what He was giving me right now.

And the craziest part is the moment I truly released that need for control that’s when the confirmation came.

And it was just enough clarity for me to take the next step.

And I think that’s the point.

... Read moreWaiting for complete confirmation from God can often lead to frustration and doubt, but embracing the idea that God provides just enough light for the next step has transformed many believers' journeys. I’ve learned from personal experience that when we release our desire to have every detail planned out and control every outcome, we open ourselves up to true spiritual growth and peace. It’s natural to want clear answers and a detailed roadmap, especially when facing major life decisions. However, the quiet moments in prayer and Scripture often hold the most profound messages. Trusting God means acknowledging that His timing and methods might not match our expectations but are perfectly designed for our growth. In times when the path seems unclear, reminding yourself that waiting endlessly for full confirmation might actually delay your progress can be freeing. Instead, focus on the clarity and peace you feel about taking the immediate next step. This mindset allows for ongoing trust and continual guidance, rather than stagnation caused by uncertainty. Another important aspect is aligning your prayers with your heart. It’s common to say we trust God while still clinging to control beneath the surface. True surrender requires honest self-reflection and the courage to let go of that need for control, trusting that God’s plan is unfolding even if you can’t see the whole picture. Personally, embracing this approach has helped me experience God's faithfulness more intimately. When I finally released control and accepted that I only needed enough light for my next step, confirmation came not as a loud voice or dramatic sign, but as a quiet peace that empowered me to move forward. For those struggling with waiting for clear confirmation, remember the words found in the image: "If you're waiting for full confirmation from God, you might be waiting forever." Instead, seek the courage to trust the light given today and step forward with faith. This journey of trusting God step-by-step is a profound lesson in patience, surrender, and deepening faith.
