Stand on Business No Matter What!
A girl tried to bully me today in school and argue with me over something petty. I tried apologizing, letting her know I understand and I even tried prayer for her. This girl had no chill she didn’t want to let it go and calm down so you know what!!!
I popped off in her in a mature way. I let her know she cut herself off. And told her thank you. More was said but bottom line I stood my ground.
It’s sad because she was older than me. But age doesn’t matter some people are just not mature.
Point is i took up for myself as I should. I’m usually someone who does not like confrontation or conflict so I don’t speak up but I can’t keep letting people disrespect me the end of 2024 is where I drawn the line. I’m speaking up for myself and setting the tone from here on out because if you let someone treat you like something you just taught them how to treat you. Can’t let people walk all over my little nice behind anymore.
I know it’s hard trust me but until you learn to take up for yourself like I had to people are going to keep testing you!
Bullying can take many forms, especially in environments like beauty school where competition and drama can play out. It's essential to understand that standing up for yourself does not mean being confrontational; rather, it’s about asserting your boundaries with confidence. When faced with aggression, it's beneficial to remain calm and communicate your feelings clearly, as I did when I confronted the girl. According to recent studies, 1 in 5 students report being bullied, making it a widespread issue that can affect mental health and academic performance. Learning to advocate for yourself is a crucial step in combating this negative experience. Effective strategies include practicing assertive communication, seeking support from friends and mentors, and knowing when to disengage from toxic interactions. Remember, self-respect is fundamental, and refusing to be treated poorly sets a standard for how others will treat you. Implementing boundary-setting techniques can encourage healthier relationships and a more positive school environment. Moreover, engaging in activities that build self-esteem, such as joining clubs or discussing feelings with trusted peers, can provide additional help. No one should have to endure bullying, and recognizing your right to stand up for yourself is the first step towards change. Embrace your worth, and don’t hesitate to seek help from authority figures if necessary. Speak out, stand firm, and let’s create a supportive community where everyone feels valued.

I've been thinking of beauty school before but I've heard things like this happen there. I'm also someone who doesn't like conflict. It's awesome you stood your ground!
