What do we wish for...
We wish to not be stared at in a bikini,
To feel safe in groups of just us,
Wish to be able to choose the man over the bear,
And be safe at a party with friends,
And family.
We wish for fun,
And adventure,
And young, dumb mistakes like everyone else,
But those wishes don't get priority.
To wish those wishes is a privilege,
Our wishes, of not losing our voices to men,
Well it's not just a wish,
It's a prayer,
It's a plea. It should be our right, but we're not lucky enough for that.
Men are lucky,
In so many ways that they don't realize.
They are lucky they have power,
And undeniable freedom,
Power and freedom to do what they want, say what they want, and face no consequences.
But the biggest luck of men,
Well that's simple,
They are luckiest because we want equality not revenge.
