LA County Fair Pt. 2

Wow, visiting the LA County Fair again after so long was an absolute blast! I honestly regret not coming here sooner though. It’s not just for kids; they even have barnyard races which are super entertaining. It's a fantastic way to connect with farm animals and enjoy a different kind of fair experience. And for something completely unexpected, I stumbled upon a nature trail where they have reptiles. Who knew you could find a mini-zoo tucked away at the fair? There are also various expo halls showcasing different interests and local talents, which are perfect for a cool down or a change of pace. Speaking of finding treasures, the shopping area is incredible. I didn't even mention it much before, but it’s packed with all sorts of cute trinkets. I saw handmade bracelets, unique pottery, local art, and even clothes with adorable little designs. And my favorite part? The candy store put together like a maze – it’s not even joking, it’s huge and so much fun to get lost in, picking out all your favorite sweets. It's a great spot to grab unique souvenirs or gifts. When it comes to the food, while I raved about the specific vendors, let me tell you, you HAVE to try the Twister fried potatoes wrapped on a stick – they’re crispy perfection! And the Bacon Mac and Cheese baked potato? A true comfort food masterpiece that you absolutely can't pass up. My pro-tip for food is to go with a group and share, so you can sample more of the incredible offerings without getting too full too fast. Don't forget to hydrate with their freshly made Agua Fresca throughout the day! As for the rides, the Fun Zone really lives up to its name. There’s a huge variety, from classic carousels to gravity-defying fair rides that will definitely get your adrenaline pumping. I almost threw up on one, but honestly, I had a blast! If you’re a thrill-seeker, dedicate a good chunk of time here. For families, there are plenty of milder options too, ensuring everyone has a fantastic time. We even played some games and won some prizes, which is always a fun challenge. To make the most of your visit, remember to buy your tickets online early to save time and sometimes money. Parking can be a bit of a maze itself, so arrive early or consider ride-sharing. Wear comfortable shoes – you'll be doing a lot of walking!
