The Best Answer My Little Boy Could’ve Given ❤️
❤️ Raising Boys Who Know Jesus
This morning before church, I looked at Daddy’s twin and asked,
“Where are we going today?”
Without even thinking, he smiled and said…
“Jesus.” 🥹❤️
He meant church, but hearing that one little word reminded me what this journey is really about.
It’s not about having the perfect home.
It’s not about the perfect career.
It’s not about having everything figured out.
It’s about faithfully leading our children to Christ.
Mom is still recovering from surgery, but she made sure we were getting ready for church. That speaks volumes about the kind of faith we want our boys to grow up seeing. Faith isn’t just something we say—it becomes part of the way we live.
After church, we’ll enjoy leftovers from last night’s smoked ribs, laugh together, and spend time as a family. These simple moments may not seem extraordinary today, but one day they’ll become the memories our boys cherish most.
As parents, we’re entrusted with an incredible responsibility. Our children are watching how we love, how we pray, how we respond to challenges, and how we trust God even when life isn’t easy.
Our prayer is simple:
That our boys grow up loving Jesus more than anything this world can offer.
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6
❤️ These are the moments we’re living for.

Raising children with a strong foundation in faith can truly be one of the most rewarding and meaningful journeys for any parent. I can personally relate to the profound simplicity behind the moment when a child associates church not just with a place, but first and foremost with Jesus. This perspective shifts parenting from focusing on worldly achievements to nurturing spiritual growth. It reminded me how important it is to lead by example, especially during times of challenge or uncertainty, like a family member recovering from surgery. Faith becomes more than words—it is seen in actions, persistence, and love. In our family, we make a conscious effort to model a life centered on trust in God. Whether it’s preparing for church, sharing meals, or simply enjoying laughter together, these ordinary moments become extraordinary memories rooted in faith. The proverb ‘Train up a child in the way he should go’ resonates deeply because it highlights the lifelong impact parents have by laying spiritual groundwork early on. For anyone navigating the joys and struggles of parenting, focusing on Jesus as the anchor provides peace and direction. Celebrating small moments, like a child’s innocent yet wise response, helps maintain perspective on what truly matters. I encourage other parents to embrace this approach, creating a home where faith isn’t just taught—it’s lived and experienced daily. This leads to cultivating a loving, resilient family where children grow to cherish their relationship with Jesus more than worldly things.
