Here is my go to back workout. As a bikini bodybuilder, I typically only work out my back and biceps once a week. As you can see, whether I’m in season or off season, my back is very strong. I highly recommend using the exercises in this routine. As always I advise to modify the weight that you use and the reps to your benefit. @Lemon8 Fitness#backmuscles#workout#workoutroutine#lemon8challenge

Read moreHey everyone! 👋 Building a strong back is one of the most rewarding parts of my fitness journey, and it's something I truly believe everyone can benefit from, whether you're a seasoned gym-goer or just starting out. I know sometimes hitting the gym, especially for specific muscle groups like your back, can feel a little intimidating or make you feel a bit 'shy' if you're not sure where to begin. But trust me, once you get into it, you'll feel so much more confident!
My back workout, which usually takes me around 1 hr 9 mins to complete, is designed to hit all those important back muscles for both strength and definition. You might have seen my 'in season' and 'off season' back physique, and that journey is all about consistency and smart training. For anyone who might feel a little self-conscious or unsure in the gym, remember that everyone starts somewhere. Focusing on proper form is key, not just for results but also for safety. Don't be afraid to start with lighter weights and gradually increase as you get stronger. It's about your progress, not anyone else's!
When I'm doing exercises like Lat Pulldowns or Cable Rows, I really concentrate on squeezing my shoulder blades together at the peak of the movement. For those heavier lifts, I sometimes use hand wraps to help with my grip, which means I can focus more on the muscle I'm working rather than my hands giving out. It's a small tip that can make a big difference, especially if you find your grip to be a limiting factor. And when it comes to bicep exercises like Dumbbell Bicep Curls or Cross Body Hammer Curls, remember to keep your elbows tucked in and control both the lifting and lowering phases for maximum muscle engagement.
Don't worry about looking 'too muscular' if that's a concern – building significant muscle takes time and dedication, and you'll always be in control of your physique. A strong back improves posture, reduces the risk of injury, and honestly, just makes you feel incredibly powerful. For beginners, I'd suggest picking 3-4 exercises from my routine, focusing on getting the movement right, and doing 3 sets of 10-12 reps. As you get more comfortable, you can explore the full range of exercises like the Hammerstrength High Row or even working towards Chin Ups, which are fantastic for overall back development.
Remember, this is your fitness journey. Modify the weight and reps to suit your current strength level, just as I advise in my routine. Every workout is a step towards a stronger, more confident you. So, embrace the challenge, focus on your form, and enjoy the process of building that strong, beautiful back!
