They provide a soft texture and come with beneficial nutrients like fiber and protein, which complement high-protein dishes such as air-fried chicken breast perfectly. Air frying the chicken not only reduces the amount of added fat but also keeps the meat juicy and flavorful. Pairing your main protein with fresh veggies like zucchini and sweet potatoes adds color and health benefits, as sweet potatoes are rich in antioxidants and vitamins. Ground turkey is another lean protein source that fits well into a balanced meal. Including fresh fruits like apple slices and cantaloupe for dessert or on the side enhances the meal with natural sweetness and hydration. For those watching their calorie intake or wanting a wholesome dinner, this combination offers a nice balance between macros and flavors. I usually serve the avocado and lettuce on the side as they bring creaminess and crunch without overpowering the main dish. Having a mixture of textures and nutrients keeps dinners interesting and satisfying, especially when eating alone. This approach to dinner also works well for meal prepping, as the ingredients can be cooked in batches and mixed and matched throughout the week.
