Turns out someone on Nextdoor found this little queen in their garage during the storm, but later that night she escaped their yard and spent another two days roaming the neighborhood. The morning after I got her I took her to the vet and…surprise! she was chipped! I called the number, left a message, and even found out her real name is Chole. I walked her to the listed address (it wasn’t far), but no one was home. And let me tell you… she was very offended that we left without delivering her straight to her throne.
That evening the phone rang, her owner called back. She’s the sweetest 83-year-old woman who had been driving around searching for Chole for DAYS. My heart absolutely melted.
