Rupert’s @Embark Vet breed & health test results are IN! 🎉

And honestly… his results completely surprised me. Rupert is a stunning mix, and I’m not sure anyone would have guessed all of the breeds that make up this handsome little guy!

Did any of you get the breeds right? 👀

One of the coolest parts was seeing all of his relatives pop up in the database. We’re hoping those connections might help us start piecing together more of Rupert’s story and where he came from before he found his way to us.

Now I’m counting down the days until we get his age test results back. I need to know if my tiny old man is actually an old man or if he’s just mastered the art of looking distinguished. 😂 #embarkbreedreveal #embark #dnatest #dogsoftiktok #fyp

Read moreTaking a dog DNA test like Rupert's Embark Vet breed and health test can be an eye-opening experience, especially when the results reveal surprising breed mixes that you wouldn't have guessed. From personal experience, I found that these tests not only satisfy curiosity but also provide valuable information about your dog's health risks and potential hereditary issues. What makes Embark particularly interesting is its extensive database, which allows you to connect with genetic relatives. This feature helped me trace possible family members of my dog and piece together a better understanding of his background, which was previously a mystery. Moreover, the age test results, like the one Rupert is awaiting, can be incredibly useful in determining your dog's true age, especially for rescue dogs where the history isn't well known. This helps in tailoring care routines, nutrition, and exercise to your dog's actual life stage. When you receive your dog's DNA report, take some time to explore the breed characteristics and their typical behaviors, which can help explain some quirks or traits your pet exhibits. Many dog owners find this information helpful in training and bonding with their pets. Finally, sharing your results in communities or social media using hashtags like #embarkbreedreveal or #dnatest can connect you with fellow dog lovers who share their experiences and stories, making the journey even more rewarding.
