Flambo hit "go" "upstairs" today. This was shortly after he asked to cuddle upstairs too, so apparently he's just an upstairs boy today. 😂

I stopped by PetSmart earlier and got new toys, which basically dictated the rest of our day: toys, taking toys upstairs, Palmer stealing toys, Flambo York and Flambo toys, Palmer stealing them again. Repeat until bedtime.

From my experience, bringing home new toys not only stimulates their curiosity but also strengthens the bond you share. For example, when I got new interactive toys for my dog, it sparked hours of play, much like Flambo’s obsession with his new toys from PetSmart. Toys act as great tools to keep dogs mentally and physically active, which is especially important for intelligent breeds like Australian Shepherds. They love challenges and often enjoy games that involve problem-solving or retrieving. Adding cozy moments, such as cuddling upstairs, helps balance the excitement with relaxation and nurtures your pet’s emotional wellbeing. Also, it’s quite common for dogs like Palmer to playfully 'steal' toys—it’s their way of engaging in social play. Watching these interactions can bring a lot of laughter and joy. Incorporating scheduled playtimes can help reduce toy-stealing spats and encourage sharing. Overall, spending time observing and responding to your pets’ unique personalities enhances your connection and creates memorable moments every day.
