What’s in my Drag emergency kit?
I try to bring what I call my “oh sh!t kit” to every show with me whether I’m performing, producing or just helping. It’s filled with the most commonly forgotten and needed items for the kings, queens and burly babes!
1. Fishnets, wig cap and socks
2. Skin prep- i get these in my medical supplies and they work great for prepping your skin for chest tape or pastie tape for those of us with adhesive allergies or sensitivities! Keeps me from having bright red lines on my chest for a week after!
Unisolve- is basically oil and helps to remove tape without pulling or tearing your skin
3. Makeup
4. Pasties and pastie tape
5. First aid kit with band aids and scissors
6. Period products, electrolytes and lotion
7. Nails & nail glue, cologne & lint roller
What is one thing you ALWAYS forget at home?
Creating a well-equipped drag emergency kit is crucial for any performer, whether you're hitting the stage as a queen, king, or drag performer. Key items include seamless fishnets, wig caps, and essential socks. Skin prep products like Unisolve help to protect sensitive skin from tape and adhesives—particularly important for those with allergies, as they maintain comfort while performing. Quality makeup is a must, ensuring you look your best. Pasties and double-sided tape are essentials for flattering outfits. A complete first aid kit with band-aids and scissors can come in handy for unexpected mishaps. Don't forget personal items like period products and electrolytes to keep you refreshed and focused. Lastly, tools like a lint roller, nail glue, and cologne ensure you present yourself flawlessly. As you assemble your kit, remember to think about the items you consistently forget, always customizing your contents to suit your unique needs. With the right preparation, you’ll be ready to tackle any drag-related surprise with confidence!
