Behind the scenes...🌸
They say art is a journey, but sometimes that journey takes a wrong turn! 😅 I tried preserving this beautiful rose using UV resin, and while the process was so therapeutic, the final result wasn't exactly what I envisioned.
It’s easy to only post the "perfect" finished pieces, but I wanted to share this fail case too. Every mistake is just a lesson in disguise, right? ✨
Back to the drawing board for me! Have you ever had a DIY project go completely sideways? Tell me I'm not alone in the comments! 👇

Trying to preserve flowers with UV resin can be as rewarding as it is tricky. From my experience, patience and the right technique are key. Initially, I thought the process would be straightforward — just embed the rose in resin and cure it. But the resin’s curing speed and thickness can affect the outcome significantly. Sometimes bubbles get trapped, or the colors shift in unexpected ways. One tip I found helpful is to dry your flower thoroughly before sealing it. Moisture can cause cloudiness or a milky finish in your resin piece. Also, working in thin layers of resin, curing each layer separately, helps avoid imperfections and allows for better control over the final look. Expect some trial and error — that’s part of the creative process. For me, sharing a project fail was refreshing and motivated me to improve my craft, reminding me that art evolves through mistakes. If you’re attempting UV resin flower preservation, embrace the journey, celebrate small successes, and don’t hesitate to experiment. Each attempt teaches you something new and leads to more stunning creations down the line.
