another hbb has popped up in yishun, so of course i had to check it out 😊
they currently specialise in matcha and hojicha drinks, but there are plenty of non caffeinated options too, so there’s something for everyone 🥹 i also heard that a coffee series is in the works, which i’m already looking forward to hehe ☕️
i tried their iced hojicha latte, which can be customised to your preference. i went with oat milk and no added sweetness, and i’m so glad i did because it really allowed the roasted tea aroma to shine through 🤎 it was smooth, fragrant, and not overly rich! i finished the drink in no time haha
for my second drink, i had the matcha coconut water, a combination i’d never tried before. the refreshing sweetness of the coconut water paired surprisingly well with the earthy, slightly bitter notes of the matcha, making it an incredibly refreshing drink for the warm weather 🌿🥥
overall, i’m really excited to have another cosy hbb in yishun. the drinks were well executed, the menu has plenty of interesting options, and the best part is that it’s so close to my home, which means i’ll definitely be back soon 😄
... Read moreAs a tea enthusiast, discovering Puppy Brew Cafe in Yishun has been a delightful experience. When visiting, I found that the cafe’s focus on premium matcha and hojicha offers a refreshing twist on traditional tea drinks. One standout is their iced hojicha latte, where choosing oat milk and skipping added sweetness truly enhanced the roasted aroma and gentle flavor of the tea. The balance wasn’t too rich — just smooth and soothing, perfect for a relaxing afternoon.
What’s more interesting is their innovative matcha coconut water, which I hadn't tried before. The natural sweetness from the coconut water harmonizes beautifully with the earthiness of ceremonial grade matcha, creating a refreshingly light drink, especially wonderful on warm days. This unique blend offers a healthy alternative to sugary beverages.
The cafe also caters well to those who prefer non-caffeinated options, broadening its appeal. From my visit, the cozy atmosphere combined with a thoughtfully crafted menu makes Puppy Brew a welcoming spot. Plus, their presence on Instagram and engaging promotions, like 10% off for social media shares, add a community feel that’s typical of house-brewed brands (HBB).
If you're local to Yishun or nearby, Puppy Brew is a fantastic new destination to add to your list. Whether you want a complex, fragrant hojicha or a refreshing matcha fusion, this cafe delivers quality and creativity. Keep an eye out for their upcoming coffee series – it sounds promising and will surely complement their current offerings. Overall, it’s a great find for those who appreciate specialty teas in a comfortable setting, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
