THIS HBB MAKES SALT BREAD WITH HAM & CHEESE 🥐
📍 kneed the salt
another homebased business serving up salt bread, and it’s in the north too 😆
they currently offer 2 flavours: original and ham & mozzarella 🐷🧀 i tried both, but the ham & mozzarella was definitely my favourite!
the salt bread was soft and fluffy, with a crisp golden top after reheating. i highly recommend warming it up before eating because it really brings out the contrast between the crunchy exterior and pillowy interior. there was a nice buttery pocket in the centre, but it wasn’t overly greasy, and the saltiness was well-balanced too.
the ham & mozzarella version was even more satisfying. the ham added extra savouriness while the melted mozzarella made each bite richer and more indulgent. it felt a lot more substantial, making it a great option for breakfast or a quick meal.
overall, a solid spot for salt bread lovers, and i’m excited to see what other bakes they come up with next. if you’re around sembawang or admiralty, definitely give them a try! 😊
I recently discovered Kneed The Salt while exploring local bakeries in the north, and their salt bread really impressed me. Unlike typical bread, their salt bread features a delightful combination of a crunchy outer crust with a soft, pillowy inside, especially when reheated. Warming it up significantly enhances the texture contrast, making each bite irresistibly satisfying. One thing that stood out was the buttery pocket nestled in the middle of the bread—not overly greasy but just enough to add richness without overpowering the flavor. The saltiness complements the buttery element perfectly, creating a well-balanced taste. Among the flavors, the ham & mozzarella variant was my favorite. The savory ham brought an added depth of flavor, while the melted mozzarella added creaminess and indulgence. I found it filling enough for breakfast or a quick snack on busy days. Their use of quality ingredients really shines through in this version. This bakery operates as a home-based business, which makes it even more exciting to support local talents. If you live near Sembawang or Admiralty, I highly recommend giving them a try. Their salt bread offers a unique twist compared to commercial options available elsewhere. For anyone interested in trying new local bakes, this spot is definitely worth checking out. I’m eager to see what other creative flavors or baked goods they might introduce next, as the quality so far has been consistent and delicious. Overall, Kneed The Salt offers a tasty, comforting option that’s perfect for salt bread lovers seeking something fresh and satisfying.
