Not sure if I should get the strips or the roll. HELP!
When it comes to outfitting a tiny home, every choice counts, especially when deciding between strips or a roll of a particular material—be it insulation, adhesive, or flooring. I recently went through this decision-making process myself after purchasing my own tiny home. Strips are great for precision and minimal waste. They allow you to cover specific areas without the hassle of cutting large sections. For example, if you're installing weather stripping around doors or windows, strips are easy to manage and apply. They're perfect when working in tight spots typical of tiny homes or cabins. On the other hand, rolls offer versatility and can cover larger surfaces more quickly, which is ideal if you plan to cover floors or walls extensively. Rolls can also be trimmed to any length, giving you the flexibility to customize your needs. However, they might require more effort to measure and cut accurately, which can be challenging in small or irregularly shaped spaces like lofts. In my experience, combining both options works best. I used strips for sealing and small fixes, and a roll for main flooring and insulation. This strategy ensured efficiency while minimizing waste. So, consider your specific tiny home needs. If you want detailed control and less bulk, go for strips. If you need broad coverage and convenience, a roll might suit you better. Whichever you choose, proper installation is key for durability and comfort in your tiny living space.
