My Recent Ceramics Project! 🪵🍄
Its intent was to be a butter dish… but I don’t want to put butter on it lol, it can be a cute trinket dish instead.
WHAT DO WE THINKKKK??
I’m so proud of this it’s probably my most favorite thing I’ve ever made :))
It took about 3 weeks to make! My teacher really really likes it.
Ceramics is a wonderful medium that allows for a great deal of creativity and expression. Crafting pottery often begins with the initial concept, much like my idea of creating a butter dish. Instead, this project evolved into a trinket dish that celebrates both function and aesthetics. The process involved several crucial stages, starting from working with wet clay and shaping it into the desired form. After hand-building, the piece was left to dry before being bisque-fired, which strengthens the clay for glazing. Choosing the right glaze is pivotal, as it not only adds color but also enhances the texture of the final piece. I documented the stages, from the raw ceramic to its final glazed finish, showcasing its transformation. This art form is not just about the end result; it's about the journey of creation and learning. Each piece I make teaches me something new, making pottery a rewarding experience. I encourage others interested in ceramics to explore their creativity—the possibilities are endless!

I think this is awesome!! I love what you have made so far. Very talented and I love mushrooms, anything with mushrooms on it I enjoy. I'll be watching for your new creations. 💯✨
