My 6 Most Useful OBS Scenes
- Starting Soon -
I start streaming 10 mins before scheduled and have a 10 min timer widget so that it gives people time to click on the stream before I get started. In that time I send out my starting stream announcements.
- Big Game -
This is what I have up for most of my stream. I like to keep it really bare bones so that it is easier to focus on the gameplay.
- Little Game -
I use this one for browser games or games that generally require more viewer interaction.
- Ending -
Often times there is delay between you and the viewers so having an ending screen is a good why to make sure that viewers hear everything you have to say before you end stream or raid someone.
- Intermission -
I really don't like to sit still sometimes. Sometimes I just need a second. People are more likely to stick around if they can see exactly when I'll be back.
- BRB -
I only use this for emergencies or when I'm having technical difficulties.
When it comes to live streaming, the visual presentation is almost as important as the content itself. Properly designed OBS scenes can significantly enhance viewer engagement and offer clarity. For your 'Starting Soon' scene, consider adding dynamic countdown timers and engaging visuals that keep viewers' attention. It's crucial to give your audience a moment to adjust and arrive before diving into your main content. Your 'Big Game' screen should maintain minimal distractions to promote focus on gameplay, while the 'Little Game' scene can feature more interactive elements that invite viewer participation, perfect for browser games or interactive sessions. Ending scenes are equally important; they can solidify communication, ensuring viewers feel included until the very end. A thoughtful ending scene, complete with chat reminders and future schedules, can help maintain audience loyalty. Incorporating an intermission scene conveys professionalism, allowing streamers a brief break while keeping viewers informed about when they'll return. Lastly, having a 'BRB' scene is critical for technical issues. Streamers should ensure it is clear and visually appealing to retain viewer attention during unexpected delays. With proper use of these OBS scenes, you can create a seamless streaming experience that captivates your audience and retains their interest. Don't underestimate the power of visuals in shaping your streaming success!
