長安寺は箱根観光の中でも、静かさと日本の伝統美を感じられる貴重なスポットです。特に竹林は、上を見上げると竹の 真っ直ぐな伸びやかな姿が視覚的に楽しめ、竹の間から差し込む木漏れ日は心を和ませてくれます。私が訪れた日は風の音と葉ずれの音が心地よく、都会の喧騒から離れてゆったりとした時間を過ごせました。 また、五百羅漢像はそれぞれ顔や表情、姿勢が異なり、自分に近い表情や好きな像を見つけるのも散策の楽しみです。季節ごとに変化する周囲の自然と相まって、仏像の持つ親しみやすさがより一層感じられます。私も散策中、どれだけ時間があっても見飽きないと思いました。 御朱印は受付でいただけますが、法要など寺院都合により受付時間が変わることがあるため、訪問時に確認することが安心です。特に御朱印の筆文字と朱印の他に、小さな絵柄が添えられているため、旅の記念としてもおすすめです。 散策時間の目安は本堂や竹林、五百羅漢を含めて約30〜40分。午前中の訪問がおすすめで、静かな環境の中で心落ち着ける時間を過ごせます。1人旅でも訪れやすく、周囲に気兼ねなく自分のペースで参拝や写真撮影を楽しめました。 参拝の際は、他の参拝者や法要を妨げないように静かに巡り、羅漢像や建物には触れないこと、撮影禁止場所ではしっかりルールを守ることが重要です。これらの配慮が、長安寺の静謐な空気を保つ一助となっています。 箱根の自然と歴史あるお寺巡りの一環として、美術館や温泉とは一味違う穏やかな体験が叶う長安寺。仙石原エリア散策時にはぜひ立ち寄ってほしい場所です。
