so my box came in! i decided to give this benefit lip & cheek tint an honest review so i tried it on for the day.
the second to last picture is when i first applied the lip and cheek tint in my bedroom, while the last picture is at my local college and of the second time i put on the tint but only on my lips since it stained pretty well on my cheeks. i know the picture is taken in two different places, but the lighting was similar since its pretty cloudy today.
my overall rating of this lip & cheek tint:
⭐️Overall rating: 3/5: the reason i am giving this lip & cheek tint a 3/5 is because it came off before i ate and drank and it came off again after eating and drinking water. It did however stay on my cheeks the entire day, so i would recommend it.
would i still use this tint?
➡️absolutely! as much as it had its “cons” it was definitely worth reapplying! i loved the scent and color! it smelled similar to another tint i have. i would definitely recommend this product to others and will buy it!

It’s not just about getting free stuff; it’s about discovering new favorites and sharing honest thoughts with our community. My box had the iconic bene tint, which I've always heard so much about, and the packaging just screamed 'fun' with the 'THIS TINT IS IT' message inside.
After my initial review, I've spent a bit more time experimenting with this rose-tinted lip & cheek stain to really get the most out of it, especially since I mentioned it didn't last as long on my lips. Here are a few tips I've picked up that might help you if you're also trying out this tint from your own Lemon8 challenge box!
For lips, the key to making bene tint last longer seems to be all about prep and layering. I've found that gently exfoliating my lips first and then applying a very light, non-greasy lip balm (giving it a minute to absorb) really helps. When I apply the tint, I like to do a thin layer, blot it lightly, and then apply another one. This layering technique helps build up the color and creates a more robust stain that doesn't disappear as quickly, especially after drinking. If I'm heading out for a meal, I might even carry a small lip gloss or a matching lipstick to reapply over the tint, keeping that rosy flush intact without having to re-do the whole tint.
On the cheeks, it's a different story! As I mentioned, it truly stayed put all day for me. My secret for a natural flush? I dab just a few dots onto the apples of my cheeks and blend immediately with my fingertips. You have to be quick because it sets fast! If you want a more intense look, you can always go back and add another tiny dot, blending outwards towards your temples. It gives such a healthy, natural-looking glow, and honestly, you forget you're even wearing it because it feels so weightless.
One thing I absolutely adore about bene tint is its versatility. It's truly a multi-tasker. Beyond lips and cheeks, I’ve even seen people use a tiny bit on their eyelids for a monochromatic, dewy look. It’s fantastic for those 'no-makeup makeup' days when you just want a hint of color that looks like it's coming from within. The smell is also a little bonus – so fresh and subtly fruity!
So, while my initial rating was a 3/5 due to the lip wear-time, I've honestly grown to love this product even more after finding these little tricks. It just goes to show that sometimes, a product needs a bit of experimentation to truly shine. If you get a bene tint in your Lemon8 box, don't give up on it if it's not perfect on the first try! Play around with it, and you might just find it becomes a staple in your beauty routine, just like it has in mine. It truly lives up to the 'THIS TINT IS IT' hype for that fresh, effortlessly chic vibe!
