Dear “Diary,”
Today I learned that I was not being ✨very demure✨I need to make sure that I am very mindful and make sure that I mind my own business because that is what growing is. I like this new trend! It’s so simple and sweet(sy). Teaching women and girls to be mindful and kind. Well, that is what I’m getting from this cute(sy) trend.
Today was a chill day. I helped with babysitting, I finished my book and updated my Storygraph reads to keep track of what I’m reading. I also started the next book in the villain series (the second picture), while also giving another book a try. The book I borrowed from my local library (via Libby) is by James Baldwin called “Giovanni’s Room”. I’d been wanting to read it for a while, but have been so busy with work and now helping my parents with my uncle and preparing for new changes, it’s been a while that I’ve read a book from the library.
Earlier today I had a salad for lunch (the first picture). I also took a selfie(third picture) for Lemon8 because this week I’ve been changing my hair. Most of the time when I’m home I wear a messy bun, but when I go out I wear it differently. I actually got the idea to do my hair differently from a picture I saw here on Lemon8!
Later (just a few minutes back/earlier), me and my husband went to Sonic (last picture) for their amazing dollar menu because I had been reading all day that my head began to hurt. 😫 I needed to have dinner!
That is pretty much what went down today. I’m not sure if I’ll want to write in my diary tonight as I am POOPED (this is an inside joke)!
Sincerely,
Cristina ❤️
Dishes I Ordered & Price: 2 Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburgers and 2 medium tots; the total was around 10 dollars!
Overall rating: 5/5 😋
Mindfulness is a powerful practice that can positively impact our daily lives. Embracing this trend of being present and conscious helps foster kindness and awareness in our interactions. With so many resources available, including books, apps, and online communities, cultivating a mindful lifestyle has never been easier. In addition to my reading journey, I recommend exploring other authors who discuss personal growth and the importance of mindfulness. James Baldwin's works, especially 'Giovanni's Room,' offer profound insights into human emotions and identity. Whether you prefer fiction, non-fiction, or self-help, there's a wealth of literature that can enhance your understanding of self-awareness. Moreover, sharing daily experiences through platforms like Lemon8 can strengthen connections with others who share similar interests. Engaging with the mindful community encourages ongoing support and inspiration. By incorporating mindfulness into everyday activities, even something as simple as enjoying a meal or spending time with loved ones, we can cultivate a richer, more fulfilling life. Remember, it's the little moments that count!
