Book Review: Monster High 3

Hi! The next book I finished reading was Monster High 3: Where There’s A Wolf, There’s A Way. Here is my review.

📘 Monster High 3: Where There’s A Wolf, There’s A Way

Review:

This book was good. While we continue telling the story of the Series main protagonists, we are also introduced to Clawdeen Wolf, a “new” protagonist whose story plays a big part in the entire series just like Cleo in the second book. I enjoyed reading Clawdeen’s perspective/outlook on her life as a RAD and how she sees herself as an independent wolf. This book was a great read and i would definitely read it again! I really liked Clawdeen’s story because as much as she was a background character in previous books, it shows us that she’s more than just Cleo’s friend.

⭐️Overall rating: 5/5

‼️I am currently reading the last book in this series and will be back with another review‼️

... Read moreHey bookworms! You know how much I loved diving back into the Monster High world, and 'Where There's A Wolf, There's A Way' truly didn't disappoint. If you're like me and were curious about what Lisi Harrison would do next with our ghoulish gang, this one's a definite page-turner! I’m still thinking about it. What really captured me in this third installment was getting to spend so much quality time with Clawdeen Wolf. In previous books, she might have felt a bit more like a supporting character, or part of Cleo’s orbit, but Lisi Harrison truly gives her the spotlight here. Her journey in this book really embodies the title, 'Where There’s A Wolf, There’s A Way.' You see her navigating her identity, her massive family (hello, tons of siblings!), and her aspirations in such an authentic way. It's not just about being a 'RAD' (Regular Average Doll, I mean, Ghoul!), but about embracing her unique wolf heritage and showing everyone that she's a fierce individualist with her own dreams. I totally resonated with her desire for independence and to prove herself outside of her siblings' shadows, and honestly, who hasn't felt that at some point? And speaking of Clawdeen, can we just talk about the cover for a second? The dark, furry texture perfectly captures her wild yet chic vibe, and that silver and purple wolf-head charm on the front? Chef's kiss! It's such a striking visual and really draws you into her world even before you open the first page. It gives you a hint of the fierce, loyal, and stylish ghoul you're about to meet, or rather, get to know even better. It’s a great piece of art that promises adventure. Lisi Harrison has such a knack for making these characters feel so incredibly real, even though they're monsters. She brings depth to their high school dramas, crushes, and friendships, making them incredibly relatable to anyone growing up. If you've been following the 'Monster High' series, you know her books aren't just silly stories. They tackle important themes of acceptance, self-discovery, and finding your unique place in the world, all wrapped up in a fun, supernatural high school package. This book, in particular, felt like a pivotal moment for the series, really fleshing out Clawdeen and setting up some fantastic character arcs for the future. It’s exciting to see how these ghouls grow. The pacing was spot-on, keeping me engaged from start to finish. I loved seeing the familiar faces, but it was Clawdeen’s new perspective that truly made this book shine for me. It’s a great example of how a 'background' character can step into their own and become a central figure. If you're on the fence about picking up 'Monster High 3,' especially if you're a fan of strong female characters who aren't afraid to stand up for themselves and embrace their true identity, trust me, it's worth it. It’s a quick, enjoyable read that leaves you feeling empowered and eager for more. Plus, it really makes you appreciate how every character in the Monster High universe has their own unique story waiting to be told. I'm already buzzing to see what happens in the next one after that little teaser at the end!
