Okay #5amclub fam, I know that 5 AM start can feel brutal, but trust me, the feeling of accomplishment when you're done with your workout before most people even wake up is unmatched! I've been getting back into my consistent grind, and it truly sets the tone for my entire day. If you're struggling to make that early morning alarm your friend, here are some tips that have really helped me. First, preparation is key. I lay out my gym clothes the night before, pack my bag, and even have my pre-workout or coffee ready to go. Removing any friction points makes it so much easier to just get up and go. Second, prioritize sleep. This sounds obvious, but getting to bed earlier is non-negotiable for a sustainable 5 AM routine. Aim for 7-8 hours, even if it means sacrificing some evening screen time. Lastly, find your 'why'. For me, it's about feeling strong, energetic, and seeing those amazing physical changes – that "MY BODY LOOKS SO GOOD RIGHT HERE" feeling! Now, let's talk about those shoulders and glutes! This is my go-to combo for building a powerful and aesthetically pleasing physique. For shoulders, I focus on hitting all three heads of the deltoid. My typical shoulder routine includes: Dumbbell Shoulder Press: 3 sets of 8-12 reps. Focus on controlled movement. Lateral Raises: 3 sets of 12-15 reps. Keep it light and focus on isolation – really feel the side delts working. Front Raises: 3 sets of 10-12 reps. Good for the anterior deltoids. Bent-Over Reverse Flies: 3 sets of 12-15 reps. Crucial for hitting the rear delts and improving posture. For glutes, I love exercises that target them from different angles to ensure maximum growth and shape. My staple glute exercises are: Barbell Hip Thrusts: 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps. This is a non-negotiable for glute development. Squeeze hard at the top! Goblet Squats or Barbell Back Squats: 3 sets of 8-12 reps. Deep squats are amazing for overall leg and glute strength. Romanian Deadlifts (RDLs): 3 sets of 10-12 reps. Fantastic for hamstring and glute tie-in. Remember to keep a slight bend in the knee and hinge from the hips. Cable Kickbacks: 3 sets of 12-15 reps per leg. Great for isolating and shaping the glutes. Glute Bridges (bodyweight or weighted): As a warm-up or finisher, 3 sets of 15-20 reps. After my workout, I always make sure to stretch and refuel with a protein-rich meal or shake. Consistency is what truly gets you results, so don't get discouraged if you miss a day. Just get back to it the next morning. Embrace the journey, celebrate your progress, and enjoy becoming a stronger, more confident version of yourself in the '5am Club'. You've got this!
