Morning Reminder : When God Says Move, You Move 🏃💨
“When God gives the word, obedience is your victory.
Abraham left everything familiar when God told him to go (Genesis 12:1-4). The Israelites crossed the Red Sea because they stepped forward when God parted the waters (Exodus 14:15-16). Peter walked on water because he moved at Jesus’ command (Matthew 14:29).
Delayed obedience is still disobedience. When the Lord prompts you—whether to take a new step, let something go, or serve in a way you never imagined—trust that His direction comes with His provision. You don’t have to see the whole picture; you just need to take the next faithful step.
Today, be ready to move when God says move. His plan is better, His timing is perfect, and His path leads to blessings you can’t imagine.”
📖 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5-6
It's easy to read 'When God says move, you move' and nod your head, but actually doing it? That's where the real journey begins. I remember a time I felt a strong nudge to step out of my comfort zone and volunteer for something completely new. My first thought was, 'Me? No way!' That familiar fear and self-doubt crept in, making me hesitate. It truly made me realize how easily delayed obedience can become a quiet form of disobedience, not because we actively defy Him, but because we let fear or comfort hold us back from His perfect plan. So, how do we really look to God and discern when He’s truly speaking, especially when we’re faced with decisions, big or small? For me, it starts with consistent prayer and spending time in His Word, much like the wisdom found in Proverbs 3:5-6 that reminds us to trust Him fully. Sometimes, His 'message for today' comes as a gentle whisper in my spirit, other times through a verse that jumps out at me, or even through the wise counsel of a trusted friend. It's about cultivating a listening heart, like tending to a garden where new insights can bloom like flowers under a warm sun, guiding you through life's paths. The challenge often isn't hearing God, but acting when He says move. We might rationalize, overthink, or simply get comfortable where we are. I’ve learned that when I ignore that inner prompting, even for a short while, I miss out on the blessings and growth He intended. It's not about being perfect, but about being willing. A practical step I’ve found helpful is to take just one small step in the direction I feel led. It doesn't have to be a giant leap of faith immediately; sometimes it's just opening a door, making a phone call, or researching a new path. This initial step can build momentum and confirm His guidance. Think about those biblical figures – Abraham leaving his homeland, Peter stepping onto the water. They didn't see the entire route, but they moved. My own experience with that volunteer opportunity taught me so much. Despite my initial hesitation, taking that first step led to unexpected friendships, new skills, and a deeper sense of purpose I wouldn't have found otherwise. It was a clear morning reminder that God’s plans are truly better than anything I could imagine. So, next time you feel that gentle nudge or a clear call, remember that immediate obedience isn't just about following rules; it's about unlocking the incredible provisions and paths He has waiting for you.
