Talk About It Tuesday - Time with God 🙏🏾

It’s easy to say God comes first, but our lives often reveal what truly has priority. God isn’t asking for perfection — He’s asking for consistency and intention. When we make space for Him daily, our hearts begin to realign and our perspective shifts. Prioritizing God isn’t about squeezing Him in, it’s about building our life around Him. Where we place God determines the direction we’re headed. This is an invitation to reflect, not to feel condemned.

“Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always.”

— 1 Chronicles 16:11

It’s easy to say God comes first, but when daily routines fill up with work, social media, and other responsibilities, God’s time often becomes an afterthought or squeezed in when convenient. What helped me was shifting my mindset from trying to fit God into my schedule to making my schedule revolve around seeking God first. This doesn’t require perfection—just intentionality and consistency. Even a few minutes each morning to read scripture or pray can realign priorities and calm a restless heart. One practical tip is to create daily reminders or rituals that invite you to seek God’s face, such as reflecting on verses like 1 Chronicles 16:11, "Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always." This verse encourages us to rely on God’s strength continually, not just in times of struggle. In doing so, I noticed that clarity and peace began to naturally follow. My decisions felt more grounded, and stress lessened. Real growth comes when God moves from being a backup plan to becoming our foundation. Also, being honest with ourselves about whether we’re giving God our best time or leftovers helps cultivate an authentic relationship rather than a routine task. If we approach God with intention, consistency, and a willing heart, He promises direction and strength for our journey.
