Some of us aren’t waiting on God… we’re ignoring what He already said.

God didn’t give you that word just to sit on it.

He gave it to you to move.

This message has been heavy on my heart lately because so many of us pray for clarity, direction, and confirmation… then freeze when it’s time to actually act.

... Read moreReflecting on the message that God has already given us direction, I’ve noticed a common theme among many believers, including myself. We often find ourselves in a waiting season, craving clarity and confirmation, but when those nudges or confirmations come, we hesitate or freeze. It's so easy to fall into the trap of overthinking or fearing the unknown, especially when the next steps seem risky or unclear. One thing I've learned is that waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing. Sometimes, God’s word or guidance isn’t a vague future promise but a clear instruction meant to be acted upon now. For example, the phrase, "God didn’t give you that word just to sit on it. He gave it to you to move," resonates deeply because it reminds me that faith includes action. While we seek certainty, scripture and experience often teach that stepping out in faith opens doors and confirms God’s plan in real time. In my own journey, when I finally chose to act on a specific direction God whispered to me—despite doubts and fears—I experienced growth and unexpected blessings. The key was trusting His timing while embracing the courage to move forward even without full clarity. The experience taught me that "waiting on God" doesn’t always mean waiting for new instructions; sometimes it means responding to what has already been given. This perspective can transform how we approach prayer and decision-making. Rather than waiting passively, we can align our actions with our faith by reviewing the guidance we've received—through scripture, spiritual impressions, or wise counsel—and taking that first small step. The uncertainty may remain, but the act of obedience brings peace and forward momentum. For anyone feeling stuck between prayer and action, I encourage you to reflect honestly: Are you waiting for God to speak, or are you ignoring what He’s already communicated? Use this time to lean into trust, act courageously, and remember that God’s promises are alive when we choose to move.
