🐶 Step of training a dog to get used to getting in the car.

1. Start from just opening the car door

Take the dog near the car first (without going up)

Let him smell it. Explore around the car. Use candy / mule toys to make him feel good.

2. Get in the car without starting the car

Put him in the car without closing the door.

Sit with him in the car for a while. Let him feel safe. Compliment / give candy when you're still or sitting well.

3. Start the car

Start the car gently without moving. If you are shocked, wait until calm before rewarding.

4. Short driving

Start driving around the house or nearby (5-10 minutes)

Take to a fun place, such as a garden or a dog cafe, to connect "getting in the car = going on a fun trip."

5. Increase time and distance

Gradually increase the distance bit by bit, keep observing symptoms such as drooling, trembling, nausea → taking a break first.
