Kauai Day 1
Vacation Diary | Day 1
📍 City/Country: Kauai, Hawaii
First day of my trip and it felt soooo long!! I suppose technically yesterday was my first day BUT we were traveling the whole time and we basically just ate and went straight to bed
☀️So far the beaches have been amazing!! The water is so warm and swimmable. It has rained a bit but as a born and raised Seattelite 🌧️ it has made no impact on the trip for me. If anything swimming in the rain was such a cool experience.
The food is sooo good! 🍣I am getting fish as much as possible to really appreciate it considering I’m used to Safeway sushi back home.
I went snorkeling and swam right up to a bunch of fish 🐠 it was crazy!!! I can’t wait to do it again :)
I am here for a whole week so if you have any suggestions about what to do or where to go LMK #letschat
Kauai, known as the 'Garden Isle,' offers stunning landscapes and a variety of activities for travelers. On my first day, I explored beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The experience of swimming while it drizzled created cherished memories, allowing me to embrace the local climate like a true Seattelite. Kauai’s vibrant marine life is best seen while snorkeling; colorful fish and reefs make every dive worth it. Don’t miss local dining gems like Robs Good Time Grill for fresh seafood. The island is home to many noteworthy attractions, including Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali Coast, which you might consider visiting during your stay. Make sure to indulge in local Hawaiian flavors and seek out fresh fish dishes that far exceed typical supermarket sushi. If you're planning a trip to Kauai, consider these must-do activities: hiking in the lush trails of Kalalau Valley, exploring the historical sites of Koloa, or simply lounging on the beaches soaking up the sun. Kauai combines natural beauty with rich culture, making it a perfect getaway for adventure seekers and relaxation enthusiasts alike.
