Our 13 days honeymoon - Stockholm City, Sweeden
3 Active Days in Stockholm 🇸🇪
Checked into /Sofo Hotel for three days packed with city adventures and the most amazing free breakfast.
Instead of the usual attractions, we made full use of our free ClassPass trial (yay for perks!) and explored different fitness studios:
1️⃣ /HYPR Sthlm – MAMMASMISK
Fresh off the train and straight to this cosy gym with separate cardio and weights rooms. The bootcamp-style workout had us switching stations so fast, we forgot our travel fatigue!
2️⃣ /The Place Stockholm – Megaformer
Think pilates with a twist: SRT machines, full-body focus, and yes, lots of sweat. Grip socks are great but not strictly required. Super happy that the class was all in English.
3️⃣ /Trime Studio – Power Up: Lower Body
Loved the mysterious red lighting here! It was all about lower body: deadlifts, lunges, wall sits, and a burn that lasted all day. Less cardio, but legs = on fire.
Aside from workouts, we also lucked out with an English audio guide walking tour app and squeezed in TWO English walking tours (via a website) in a single day:
🌳 /Skogskyrkogården - The Forest Cemetery
Hands down the highlight—tranquil, lush, and a stunning UNESCO world heritage site. Never thought a cemetery could be this peaceful and beautiful… 10/10 recommend!
🏰 /Stortorget - Stockholm Medieval Old Town
Old Town is definitely more touristy and crowded, but the audio guide made it fun to explore at our own pace. Loved learning how Stockholm started out as a medieval port city!
PS: We grabbed a 72-hour train pass for unlimited metro rides—getting around was super simple, even with the packed crowds.
During our stay, we found that navigating Stockholm’s cityhub was incredibly convenient thanks to the 72-hour unlimited metro pass. This allowed us to smoothly access all the gyms and tour spots without the hassle of buying multiple tickets or worrying about transit times. We also recommend trying the Concept 2 RowERG and Assault Fitness cardio machines at a small but well-equipped studio we visited early in our trip; they offered a great mix of cardio and strength training. Towels were thoughtfully provided, which is always a plus when working out away from home. For those interested in combining fitness with sightseeing, the Forest Cemetery (Skogskyrkogården) was particularly inspiring — its tranquil atmosphere offers a unique hiking experience right in the city. And if you enjoy guided tours at your own pace, using English audio guides for Stockholm's Old Town brought a fun and flexible way to delve into the city’s rich medieval history. Whether you are visiting Stockholm to explore its cityhub or looking for active ways to spend your days, integrating fitness classes and walking tours into your itinerary can enrich your trip and keep you energized throughout your visit.
