I Cried at the End 😭😭😭
V.E. Schwab is hands down one of my faves, and I have been waiting so long to finally read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. This book was so hard to get my hands on (wanted the hardcover copy with this specific cover, never in stock anywhere; also always checked out of the library 😮💨) and I got lucky and was able to get a hold of one in a LITTLE FREE LIBRARY!!!! (Love those things, btw).
I can definitely say that this one was well worth the wait. Can you imagine living forever but no one remembering you? Never able to hold on to anyone or anything, because technically, you don’t exist… until you meet a boy, and he remembers you. This is one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read, capturing the true power of love and expressing all the ways it conquers the deepest of our fears and inadequacies. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hands down! Can’t wait to dive into another tale…
Reading 'The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue' truly felt like an emotional journey for me. The idea of living forever but never being able to leave a mark or be remembered resonated deeply, making me reflect on how much we all crave connection and recognition. I remember the struggle to find this particular edition, as it was always out of print or checked out at the library, much like the author describes. What struck me most was how the novel explores the power of love as the ultimate force to overcome even the most painful curses. Addie's relationship with the boy who remembers her brings hope and beauty to a seemingly hopeless existence. The story elegantly intertwines historical elements and fantasy, making every page a blend of poetic prose and emotional depth. If you appreciate stories that challenge your perspective on time, memory, and what it means to truly live, this book is a must-read. It also inspires a greater appreciation for the little moments and relationships in life, reminding us that being remembered is more than just names on a page—it's about the impact we leave in others’ hearts. For anyone who has ever felt invisible, Addie's tale is powerful and comforting. Plus, the quest to find a copy of this beloved book can be an adventure in itself, as I discovered through a serendipitous find in a Little Free Library.
