I recently visited STYXX and was immediately impressed by the open flame kitchen, which sets an inviting, primal atmosphere. The highlight for me was the shishlik chicken thigh skewer — tender, juicy, and perfectly spiced. The complimentary housemade Saluf flatbread served with black tahini and matbuha was a delicious way to start our meal and paired wonderfully with the smoky flavors. The menu offers a great variety of skewers, from beef and lamb fat kebabs to unique options like chicken hearts and king oyster mushrooms. A standout was the Wagyu skewer, rich and melt-in-your-mouth, justifying its price. For something more substantial, the 24-hour brined whole chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, and the Alaskan King Crab leg poached in smoked garlic butter was delightful. Health-conscious diners will appreciate the freekeh salad and hummus baladi with falafel for lighter, fresh options. Ending the meal with the baklava and kadaif offered a sweet balance that wasn’t overly heavy, and the basbousa cake with rose water pudding was a unique dessert I’d love to try again. STYXX’s vibe is casual yet vibrant — perfect for a group dinner or a laid-back date night. Located at 18 Teck Lim Road, it’s open from Tuesday to Sunday, 5:30 PM to midnight. The combination of robust flavors, warm ambiance, and reasonable prices makes this a top choice in Singapore’s evolving dining scene.
