✨NEW GROWTH 🌱🪴🪾

Today I took some pictures of my new growing plants in my garden. 🌱Well, I say new, but these are all plants that came back from last year! What’s neat about gardening, is if you don’t clean up from previous years, plants will continue to grow. I am surprised 😮 given the weather in PA this winter, that so many of my plants are showing signs of life! 🤩 Keep swiping to see the new growths so far this year, and happy gardening! #gardensoflemon8 #lemon8gardening #Lemon8Garden #plants #growth @Lemon8 Home

... Read moreI've been amazed by how resilient my garden plants have been this year, especially after the tough winter here in Pennsylvania. One thing I've found helpful is leaving some plant bases intact during fall cleanup to allow for continued growth in spring. Herbs like thyme and mint are especially hardy perennials that bounce back readily, requiring only occasional pruning to encourage fresh, healthy shoots. Chamomile, sage, and lavender are also coming back strong, providing beautiful foliage and fragrant aromas that enhance my garden space. I make sure to give them plenty of sunlight and well-drained soil. When I notice new stems popping up, I gently remove any dead leaves to give the plants room to breathe and grow. If you’re new to gardening, consider starting with easy-to-grow herbs like these — they not only survive winters better but also add great flavor and freshness to your kitchen. It’s rewarding to watch these plants return each year without much extra effort. Plus, harvesting fresh herbs directly from your garden adds so much to cooking and overall wellbeing. Remember, gardening is a year-round commitment. Leaving parts of last year’s growth and maintaining good soil conditions prepares your plants for a strong comeback. This approach saves time on replanting and supports the natural cycle of growth. I encourage you to keep an eye on your plants’ new growth stages and celebrate every sprout. Happy gardening and may your green friends thrive just as mine have this season!
