How Did My Foot Get Hit?
Continuation of last video. Trying to find the best way to move up. Don’t know what’s on the inside. So the angles of getting me moving up might be a bad idea but I’ll try to get up to help other players in front of me. Then somehow get shot in the foot? Not sure how that happened.

So, you saw my last post about getting shot in the foot during a recball game, right? Seriously, it still blows my mind how that happened! But it got me thinking a lot about the whole 'moving up' strategy in paintball and how unpredictable the game can be. When I'm out there on the field, especially playing #recball, my main goal is often to help my team by pushing forward and trying to flank the opposition. It's not always about being the hero, sometimes it's just about drawing fire or creating space for others. This particular game, I was really focused on doing just that – trying to find the best way to move up without getting caught. You’re constantly scanning, trying to figure out where the opponents are, anticipating their moves. Sometimes, you just have to commit to a push, even if you don't know exactly what's behind the next bunker. That's part of the thrill, right? The angles can be tricky, and what looks like a clear path can suddenly turn into a kill zone. I was literally in the middle of this thought process, trying to get into a better position to support my teammates who were already engaging, when *bam*! My foot got tagged. It wasn't a headshot, or a chest shot, but a foot shot makes you really question your field awareness! It makes me wonder about common paintball hits. We all expect to get hit in the chest or arms, but those weird, low shots like to the foot or ankle are surprisingly common. It’s often because people forget to protect their lower extremities as much as their torsos. Or maybe you're moving fast, sliding into cover, and your foot just barely catches a stray shot. It’s all part of the casual #paintball gameplay experience, a bit of 'normal life' chaos on the field. You're just trying to enjoy the game, and then reality (or a paintball) hits! To avoid these sneaky hits, I've started trying to be more mindful of my entire body profile, not just my upper half. When you're "moving up," especially in dense cover, it's easy to expose a foot or a knee without realizing it. Staying low, using natural terrain, and even thinking about how you're moving your feet can make a difference. Are you shuffling, running, or crawling? Each movement exposes different parts of you. And honestly, sometimes it's just pure luck – or bad luck, in my case! This kind of unexpected hit really highlights how fast-paced and surprising paintball can be. One minute you're strategizing, the next you're out because of a ricochet or a shot from an angle you never saw coming. It’s a great reminder that even in casual games, staying hydrated and focused, like with my Gamer Supps, helps keep you sharp, so you can react quicker and maybe even spot that incoming shot a second earlier. And having reliable gear from Tri-City Extreme definitely helps you feel more confident on the field, even if it can’t make you invisible! What are your weirdest paintball hit stories?
