This book put me through every possible emotion, and that's exactly why it earned 4 stars from me. 💔❤️🔥
House of Earth and Blood follows Bryce Quinlan, a half-Fae party girl whose world is shattered after a brutal tragedy takes away the people she loves most. When a series of murders begins shaking the city of Crescent City, Bryce is pulled into the investigation alongside Hunt Athalar 🥵 a fallen angel with a dark past and plenty of secrets of his own. Together, they uncover mysteries, conspiracies, and truths that could change their world forever.
One of the biggest compliments I can give a book is that I can see myself rereading it, and this is absolutely one of those books. I genuinely think it's the kind of story where you'll discover something new every single time you read it.
Now, fair warning... the first 200 pages were honestly a blur for me. 😂
If you've read fantasy before, you know the struggle. There's world-building, character introductions, politics, magic systems, and enough information to make your head spin. Out of all of Sarah J. Maas's series, this one was the most overwhelming for me at the start. There is SO much information thrown at you that it can feel impossible to keep up.
But trust me 🙏🏻 keep going.
There were moments when I wanted to put the book down because I felt completely lost, but once everything starts connecting, the story becomes impossible to stop reading. The payoff is worth every confusing page.
While this book follows multiple characters, but Bryce, Ruhn, and Hunt completely stole my heart. 🖤
And I have to give honorable mentions to Lehabah and Syrinx because they deserve all the love. 🥹

Maas, why did you do that to me?! 😭
You know exactly what I'm talking about. I loved that character, and I am still not okay. If you know, you know ❤️🩹😭

Writing a review for this book is honestly difficult because there is just so much happening, and trying to explain it all without spoilers feels impossible. What I can say is that if you're struggling through the beginning, don't give up. The story gets easier to follow, the connections start making sense, and before you know it you'll be completely obsessed.
