What Keeps Me Going?
What keeps me writing books, lack of support. 😂As funny and sad as that sounds, that is exactly what keeps me going. I love when I see people who claim to be a girls girl, doesn’t support or they support who they want. Even when it comes down to family.
Thus far, I am a regular at a school In Queens, every year. & guess what? I get PAID 💰to speak at the school and I love it. Who wouldn’t want to become a book vendor and get paid to speak at schools? 😌
Writing can be a lonely journey, especially for indie authors who often feel the lack of support from their peers and families. However, finding motivation in challenges can transform these obstacles into stepping stones. As I navigate through the highs and lows of writing, I often reflect on the experiences that push me forward. Connecting with readers and sharing insights through school visits has allowed me to expand not only my audience but also my understanding of what resonates with people. Each event presents a unique opportunity to engage with my community, inspire young minds, and discuss the importance of storytelling. Additionally, the rise of social media offers writers an incredible platform to connect, share updates, and gain feedback. This shift towards digital engagement has enabled indie authors to cultivate a loyal following, proving that support can often come from unexpected places. Engaging in writing communities and attending networking events enriches my experience and fosters invaluable relationships. For those wondering what keeps me going, it’s the joy of connecting through words and stories. Writing is not merely a profession; it's a lifeline that connects me to others and an avenue for sparking interest and creativity in my audience. By continuing to share my journey, I hope to motivate fellow writers to persist in the face of adversity and to embrace their unique voice in this vast literary landscape.
