My photographer tried to get with me…. Part 1
His intentions were clear from the gate that he wanted something more than just keeping it professional. He’d been making me uncomfortable for a while. This photographer — a man with a whole baby mother and kids at home — kept trying to talk to me like I was interested. I wasn’t.
Then one day, out of nowhere, his baby mother slid into my Instagram DMs, calling herself “checking” me about her man. She even called me “the book lady” instead of using my name. That’s when I knew she was pressed and insecure. In my eyes, she’d already lost.
What she didn’t know was the real story: I never invited her man’s attention. He was the one with his hand on my thigh at the restaurant where my mom and my old high school friend were sitting. I didn’t ask for that, and I certainly didn’t want him.
After her message, I didn’t go back and forth with her — I went straight to him. I told him I was done and wanted no part of whatever he had going on. He wasn’t just disrespecting her, he was trying to disrespect me, too. And I’m not the only one he’s tried it with.
After everything went down, I ended up talking to one of the other women he’d tried to talk to. She told me straight up, “I’m not even interested in men.” She said he’d made the environment uncomfortable and kept pushing up on her too. Hearing her talk just confirmed what I already knew — his behavior was a pattern, not a misunderstanding.
That’s exactly where his baby mother went wrong. Instead of coming at me, she should’ve been checking him. I didn’t want him, and neither did this other woman. We were both just caught up in his disrespect and his lies.
It was almost funny — the way he painted himself as innocent to her, while trying to cross every boundary he could with us. In the end, we both agreed that men like him thrive off chaos and attention. And we weren’t giving him either anymore.
I never spoke to his baby mother. At this point, she was the laughing stock. I wouldn’t have embarrassed myself in that way. Instead, I called him directly and addressed him about the situation — about how his baby mother was coming at me thinking I wanted him.
Truth is, I could’ve been petty. I could’ve entertained him just to prove a point, especially after she tried to be funny in my messages. But I didn’t. I believed in karma, and karma had already shown me what it could do. I wasn’t about to collect more bad energy over somebody else’s man. So I left it all alone.
Later on, he hit me up again — telling me not to speak on what happened, trying to keep it quiet. But I did. I spoke my truth. Because nobody was going to twist the story and paint me as something I wasn’t.

That’s crazy girl , well not by himself, it’s a lot of man like that , just don’t care about nobody but themselves.,
